The Water Utilities Office is open from 8:00AM until 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. This division is responsible for managing the utility billing for water, sewer, solid waste and recycling services. Bedford bills over 14,000 utility accounts monthly. The city contracts with Allied Waste Services for collection of solid waste and recycling, and provides consolidated billing for these services with the customer's water and sewer bills.
Payment terms are:
Payments will be considered past due if they have not been received in the Customer Service Office by 5:00PM on the due date printed on the bill.
If payment has not been received by the due date printed on the original bill, one Delinquent Notice will be mailed.
If full payment has not been received in the Customer Service Office by 5:00PM on the due date printed on the Delinquent Notice (or approved payment arrangements have not been made) utility service will be terminated on the next business day.

Trash and Recycling Services

Allied Waste Services will also collect, at no additional charge, kitchen items, household/bedroom furniture, household appliances, hot water heaters, etc.
Brush and limbs will be picked up when securely tied in small bundles not exceeding (4) four feet in length or (50) fifty pounds in weight and placed at curbside with regular garbage.
For non-bundled items stacked curbside, call Allied Waste Services for the fee.
To help Allied Waste Services serve you better and to comply with city ordinances, please do not place trash and recycling materials at the curb before 7:00 p.m. on the evening prior to your regular trash / recycling day, and always have your trash and recycling materials at the curb before 7:00 a.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. Only tied and bundled brush can be collected.

Hazardous Household Waste
Residents of Bedford may take their hazardous household waste items to the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center free of charge with a voucher from the Water Billing Department. You must call 817-952-2112 to receive a Bedford ECC program voucher, before taking waste to the collection center. A recent water bill must be presented as proof of residency.
Each free voucher to a resident costs our city $47, whether you bring a single item to a truck load. So spread the word to dispose of household wastes. Together we can help protect our planet.

Bedford residents seeking to hold a garage sale must first obtain a permit. An application form must be filled out and returned to the Customer Service Department.
Up to 5 yard signs will be given once the permit is granted. The cost is $10 dollars for three signs and the additional two signs can be purchased for $2.00 each.
